I got a report from Sonny. There were only two fliers, Ken Conway and Kenny McMullen, at the scheduled Saturday morning Fun-Fly. Apparently there was no interest in having a competition. They just wanted to fly on that nice day. Ken Conway sprayed for weeds and then flew his Telemaster. Kenny flew his beautiful MX. See picture below:
Anyway when his 55 AX suddenly quit, Kenny proceeded to get it down quick and had to land across the width of the runway.. The result was a torn off landing gear. He is planning to repair the the damage from the "dead stick" landing.
