About Us/Contact Info.

FCRCC is a radio control flying club located about 4 miles East of Canon City on State Hwy 67 . We are about one mile South of the Fremont County airport. We are an AMA sanctioned club and have an 800 foot dirt runway running east/west, 7 pit area tables, impound building, and storage building with shaded picnic area.

We fly nitro power, gas power, and electric airplanes and helicopters. Because of an agreement with the Fremont County Airport, we do not allow flying of sailplanes/gliders.

Our club meetings are on the 1st Friday of every month and are held at the Fremont County Airport in the Annex Building #2. Fremont County RC Club is over 40 years old, and has been in at least three locations.   The first location was south of Florence  and just south of the Cemetery.   The club then was pushed out of that location and moved to a small area by Portland Cement Plant.  Then in about 1995 the club made arrangements with the Fremont County Airport to put our runway parallel with theirs and that’s where we are still today.

Currently our yearly club dues are $40.00 a year. You must be an current member of  AMA to fly at our flying site. Click here for more information on joining AMA

  1. How about making the contact list "active" with the persons email address in a hyper-link, so that any visitors can contact those club members even easier? ....just a thought

  2. Is there an indoor flying venue for RC helicopters in canon city Colorado, Florence or Penrose?

I’m more of a Helicopter pilot and was wondering if the was any indoor flying venues to fly at in Canon City , Florence, Penrose. I see a lot of gyms at the high schools and was wondering if you had any agreement to fly with any of the local schools. Or any other indoor area you use to fly indoors.
